• CAUTION: PASTORAL AREA: if livestock guardian dogs approach you, do not pet or threaten them. Stop, wait patiently for them to finish their 'inspection', then calmly continue on your way, giving the flock as wide a berth as possible.


• In the Queyras Regional Natural Park, the presence of dogs is regulated by municipal by-laws governing the movement of domestic animals: pet owners are required to keep their dogs on a leash in all alpine pastures and forests subject to the forestry regime, as well as near flocks.
