Hiking - To the Sources of the Viaur

Nestled in the mountainous setting of the Puech du Pal, this beautiful hike through the heart of Ventajou forest follows the Viaur river upstream to its sources. A venture into a haven of coolness!

The small village of Laclau welcomes you for a beautiful 'ascent to the sources' of the Viaur, through a landscape of hedgerows and coniferous forests. It is at the foot of the Puech du Pal, the highest point of the Lévézou (1,155m), that the Viaur, at the confluence of two streams, begins its 163km journey to Laguépie (82), where it flows into the Aveyron river.
