Hiking - Balad'heurs
A walk between ponds and wooded areas with beautiful viewpoints.
The streets of Saint Jean d’HeursThe commune is the only one in France, and likely in the world, where all streets and squares are dedicated to music, from Place du Jazz to Place de la Musique Classique, from Rue Johnny Hallyday to Rue Nina Simone or Serge Gainsbourg, about sixty in total. The heart of the commune, where our hike begins, was the last to receive its name. In the heart of Saint Jean d’Heurs, it deserved full attention. The inhabitants, consulted by vote, and after discussion and deliberation by the Municipal Council, it thus became Place Rouget de Lisle, named after the author of La Marseillaise, which became the national anthem of the French Republic in 1879. The plaque is illustrated by the Saint Jean d’Heurs artist Lili Durupt.
