Hiking - BEAUMONT-DE-PERTUIS - Between wooded hills and ancient farmlands

A wonderful discovery of the Luberon's agricultural heritage, interspersed with sections through coniferous and deciduous forests.

"This long hike, without too much elevation gain or technical difficulty, is very pleasant. It’s even more so in spring, when you can see the crops thriving, marvel at the garrigue in bloom, and watch the busy insects and sparrows. Others might prefer to wait until early summer to enjoy the song of crickets and cicadas, the sweet smell of pine in the undergrowth, and then the lavender fields." Axelle Baumard, Chemins des Parcs intern at the Luberon Regional Natural Park.

  • After point 1 and at point 3: be careful on the road!

  • After points 2 and 5: there are a few sections of rocky and uneven trail, so good hiking shoes are recommended.

  • PRIVATE PROPERTY: Stay on the marked path, do not pick anything, do not enter cultivated fields, and be courteous to residents and farmers.

  • FIRE RISK: Fire is the enemy of the forest... and the hiker! Do not smoke or light fires in the forest, as it is forbidden in all seasons! And during the summer, before setting out on your hike, check the access conditions and regulations for forest areas.
