Walking - BÉDOIN - Seed Trail

Discover the painstaking work of the reforesters who, seed by seed, restored life and balance to the Ventoux forest.

"On the Seed Trail, I discovered the incredible work of reforestation. Each planted seed told a story—the story of the people of Ventoux who worked to bring the forest back to life. It took resilience to make that choice, which was far from unanimous at the time. Today, this hard work has paid off and is a source of joy and pride for all!" Paul, a curious hiker.

  • HUNTING: during hunting season, I wear brightly coloured clothing, make my presence known, and respect the signs put up by hunters.

  • GRAZING AREA: if livestock guardian dogs approach me, I do not pet or threaten them. I stop, then wait patiently for them to finish their "check" before calmly continuing on my way, giving the flock as wide a berth as possible. It is best not to bring your dog; if you do, keep it on a tight leash. As a reminder, review the correct way to behave around livestock guardian dogs.

  • FIRE RISK: fire is the enemy of the forest… and the hiker! I do not smoke or light fires in the forest, as it is forbidden year-round! And in the summer, before heading out, I check the access conditions and regulations for forested areas.
