Hiking - BELGENTIER - Barre de Cuers
A lovely climb through traditional Provençal farmland, with an exceptional panoramic view from the very top!
“It's a small stone path, a calade, that lets you climb... and go back in time! As you walk, you can easily imagine the hillsides and valleys of yesteryear, entirely cultivated with terraced plots (restanques), with their olive trees, almond trees and other trees typical of the region. The climb is a gentle one. Once at the summit, your reward awaits: a magnificent panorama, from the hills of Toulon to the Gapeau valley, from the Hyères islands to the Maures massif, not to mention the Pilon Saint-Clément, and on a clear day, the Alps on the horizon.” Mathilde Miguet, Outdoor Activities Project Manager at the Sainte-Baume Regional Natural Park.
- Between waypoints 3 and 4: be cautious on the balcony trail running alongside the cliffs. Care is recommended near the edge to avoid any risk of falling.
- FIRE RISK: fire is the enemy of the forest… and of the hiker! I will not smoke or light a fire in the forest, especially as it is forbidden whatever the season! And in the summer, before setting out, I will check the forest access conditions and regulations.
