Walking - BLAUVAC - Notre-Dame-des-Neiges
Between vineyards, cherry orchards, and forests, this delightful walk offers changing colors throughout the seasons, especially in spring and autumn.
"I really enjoyed this walk, which offers varied pleasures between heritage and orchards. We appreciated the break at the shaded picnic table by the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges chapel, from which the panoramic view of Mont Ventoux and its combes is incredible! Furthermore, the viewpoints of the Giant of Provence are numerous throughout the entire route. A delight I never tire of! Finally, the choice to hike this loop in April was intentional to admire the cherry trees in bloom." Elsa Aptel, Director of the Ventoux Sud Intercommunal Tourist Office.
- ORCHARDS AND VINEYARDS: I do not pick any fruit and I respect the crops.
- HUNTING: During hunting season, I wear brightly colored clothing, make myself clearly visible, and respect the signage put in place by hunters.
- PASTORAL ZONE: In the presence of guard dogs that approach me, I do not pet or threaten them. I stop, then I wait patiently for the ''inspection'' to end before calmly continuing my way, circling the herd as widely as possible. Preferably, do not bring your dog, or if you do, keep it on a leash. For reference, consult the proper reflexes to adopt when facing guard dogs.
- FIRE RISK: Fire is the enemy of the forest… and the hiker! I do not smoke in the forest and do not light any fires there, especially since it is forbidden regardless of the season! And during the summer, before going for a walk, I inquire about the conditions and regulations for accessing forest areas.
