Hiking - Causse Bégon and the Giant's Tomb

Via Brante Mountain, hike through the majestic landscape of the Dourbie Gorges and reach Causse Bégon, the least known of the Causses, a stronghold of moorland and dry stone on the border of the Gard.

The village of Saint-Jean-du-Bruel, in the upper Dourbie valley, is the starting point for a sensational escape to Causse Bégon, with breathtaking views of the nearby Cévennes. This loop, dotted with historical landmarks (calamine kilns, jasse), offers a quick detour to the Giant's Tomb, a sizeable dolmen!
