Discover the Pérouse cup-marked stone!
An easy, scenic trail for everyone on a pleasant farm track.

After a 25-minute walk following the main path, you will arrive at a renovated house near some old ruins.
The Pérouse cup-marked stone is located about 200 m further on your right. This archaeological treasure bears the marks of glacial striations and features over 180 cup-marks and other symbolic carvings.
Return via the same path. Shortly before you arrive back, you can see the Saint Jacques chapel on a promontory.
This neo-Gothic chapel, dedicated to Saint-Jacques-de-Tarentaise (1898-1903), is built on the Roc Pupim on the site of, and with stones from, the Château Saint-Jacques.
The Château de Saint-Jacques or Saint-Jacquemoz was an old fortified castle, probably from the 5th century, a possession of the Archbishops of Tarentaise until its destruction in 1600; it was therefore also located on this same Roc Puppim.
