Nestled amidst magnificent landscapes, Chastanier is a village with about a hundred inhabitants. The valleys and rivers of the Chapeauroux and the Clamouse offer a typical Margeride atmosphere and invite exploration.
In case of flooding of the Clamouse, continue straight ahead to reach "les baraques" at Chastanier without passing through the ford.
