Hiking - Amorey Tufa Waterfall Circuit
This trail invites you to discover the village of Auberive and its treasures, as well as the woods and forests where the Tufière d'Amorey natural site is hidden. Tucked away in the Amorey woods, this tufa formation features lovely travertine waterfalls in a preserved forest setting. Birds, dragonflies, and butterflies will accompany you along your walk.
In the heart of the Montgérand massif, in the Auberive forest, this trail takes you through several rich and diverse ecosystems: the Val Clavin, the Vallon de la Germainelle, and the Tufière d'Amorey. Winding through the woods, you will eventually return to the historic village of Auberive. Take advantage of your time in the village to admire the magnificent Cistercian Abbey dating from 1135, around which the village grew.
Warning: crossing the stream can be slippery in wet weather.
