Trailence

Hiking - Circuit de Rû - St-Sauveur-en-Rue - No. 2

This loop trail takes you near the Château de Rû. Also known as a fortified house, this building, flanked by 4 wings, 2 turrets and 2 square towers, once belonged to the powerful d’Argental family and was part of the donation to Abbé Robert.
Cross the village following Rue Jean Roux, continue past the church towards Saint-Etienne. At the hairpin bend, take the Chemin de La Croix Verte on the left and the Montée de Rû which takes you straight to the old castle. Continue, keeping to the paths on the left; in twenty minutes, you will reach the place known as Rulhiat. Rejoin the paved path. Fork right at the junction that leads to Lourbat. Cross this hamlet, then get back on the dirt track. The route climbs before dropping back down to La Côte de la Valette.

Everyone is responsible for their own safety. Therefore, you hike at your own risk. Stay on the marked trails to protect fragile environments.
