Hiking - Circuit du Cirque de la Coquille

A lovely undulating walk between Aignay-le-Duc and Etalante, alternating between old villages, remarkable natural sites, and typical architectural complexes.
Starting from Aignay-le-Duc, you will reach the fortified farm of La Pothière by traversing the plateau, an old manor house that represents a characteristic example of 15th and 16th century Burgundian architecture. Then, entering the charming village of Etalante, you will discover its gem, « the Cirque de la Coquille », a classified natural site where the Coquille river originates. You will follow the discovery trail marked by the Conservatoire d’Espaces Naturels de Bourgogne, then return to Aignay-le-Duc via the Coquille valley. The descent towards the village offers a beautiful view of its old houses with glazed tile roofs, from which emerges the Gothic silhouette of the Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul church, built in the 13th century.
