Hiking - Crystal territory circuit
This hike, mainly forest, will make you discover Saint-Louis-Lès-Bitche, its prestigious crystal factory and its sumptuous church. The route will also reserve you some pretty discoveries such as the chapel of Sainte-Vérène in Enchenberg or the ponds of the Moulin and the Loescherbach.
This beautiful circuit starting from the crystal museum of Saint Louis will make you alternate the passages in the forest and the crossings of villages.
This circuit is part of the paths of excellence of the Pays de Bitche (n° 14). It is marked with a red disc along its entire length, completed with the green "Sentiers d'excellence" badge. Leave the car park and walk along the rue Principale to reach the pond. After the pond, continue straight on the forest road to Enchenberg. Cross the bridge to the village. Follow the D83A to the restaurant "Auberge Sainte Vérène" and turn left at the crossroads. A few meters after the church, take the small path between two houses, on the right to reach the chapel Sainte Vérène. Continue for 4 km to the village of Lemberg, through a forest section. Rejoin the housing estate, then the main road, before turning right after the railway line (rue des jardins). Go up on the left between the houses to join the D36 (watch out for the crossing). Go down on the other side of the road towards Saint-Louis-les-Bitche, to reach the starting point.
