Hiking - COMPS-SUR-ARTUBY - Le Pont de la Souche
An out-and-back hike to discover the hamlet and bridge of La Souche. Take the opportunity for a refreshing stop on the banks of the Artuby River.
Comps boasts a remarkable architectural heritage. There are "bad" bridges, and there are beautiful ones. The Pont de la Souche is a beautiful 17th-century structure that certainly falls into the latter category. Its setting is welcoming, and it's a pleasure to stop here—the reward at the end of the hike. It was undoubtedly a source of pride for the locals and remains so today, as the bridge is listed as a Historic Monument.
To avoid the summer heat, set out early and bring 1 litre of water per person. Be careful when crossing the D21.
