Hiking - From La Grave to the hamlet of Ventelon
Loop from La Grave to the hamlet of Ventelon.
A short walk through flower-filled meadows to discover authentic hamlets.
You will enjoy a panoramic view of the Meije massif.
From the Tourist Office, go up through the village towards the church, keep it on your left and continue straight uphill. Pass the last houses and quickly turn right towards Ventelon.
At the top of the path, cross the road to pick it up again opposite in order to cut across the hairpin bend.
Once back on the road, pass the sheepfold and continue by taking the left bend towards the hamlet of Les Terrasses.
At the entrance of the hamlet, turn left to take the small road going down. At the end of this road, the GR54 begins, allowing you to return to La Grave through the "Champs Lombards".
The climb from La Grave is steady and faces due south: it is therefore better to start this route early in the morning. Along the way, you can refresh yourself at the various fountains in Ventelon and Les Terrasses.
You may sometimes cross fields with animals, so be sure to close the gates behind you.
