Hiking - From Petit Wingen to Climbach Along the Water
This hike of approximately 11 km will take you from Petit Wingen to Climbach. Springs, Ütes, streams, and the Fenêtre sur le paysage will punctuate your hike.
This trail allows you to discover the heritage of the villages of Petit Wingen and Climbach and their surroundings. In particular, you will discover the Üte du Vigneron, the Üte du Forestier, as well as the Fenêtre sur la Paysage "Source". An invitation to discover the diverse landscapes of the Northern Vosges.
From the starting point in Petit Wingen, follow the GR and the route des châteaux. At the first intersection, you can take your first break at the Üte du Forestier, on the edge of the forest.
Continue along the GR to reach the village of Climbach. In Climbach, leave the GR when you reach the main road and go straight onto Rue des Eglises. Continue straight on to a small path running alongside the stream, which will lead you directly to the Fontaine de Climbronn and the Fenêtre de paysage "Source".
From the fountain, follow the yellow trail markers north to reach the Fontaine car park. From there, turn left to return to the village of Climbach via rue du Porche de la Chapelle. Once you have passed the town hall, you will rejoin the main road. This time, turn right and follow the road to the cemetery car park. From there, leave the road and follow the "green cross" trail markers.
You will go downhill alongside a small stream that takes you to the Fontaine des Faisans. From there, turn left onto the path with yellow markers, heading towards Petit Wingen. The path then follows a forest track along the border.
Continue on this path until you reach the Üte du Forestier.
