Walking - In the Senonches Countryside
Through its small streets with beautiful buildings (featuring traces of grison stone), Senonches, a town of water and greenery, reveals itself along winding paths, at the forest edge and beside springs.
Ideal for a family outing, this short hike will introduce you to the town's built heritage as well as its rich natural heritage.
As of September 2025: temporary detour between points 5 and 6 (works in progress).
This trail is certified by the French Hiking Federation. Follow the yellow markers specific to PR (short-distance walking) trails
During this walk, you will quickly notice Senonches' rich aquatic life: Lake Arthur Rémy, the ponds and streams, and the omnipresence of the forest. You will also discover quality built and historical heritage, including the church made of grison stone, its cinema listed as a Historic Monument, and its medieval castle, now converted into a Forest and Man Interpretation Centre.
