Trailence

Hiking - ESCRAGNOLLES - Plateau de Briasq

A loop trail clearly marked by the contrast between the vegetation on its sunny, rather arid slopes and its shadier, more humid slopes.

“The hike starts on the road, but you quickly leave human infrastructure behind to venture onto a forest trail. The forest atmosphere, the many viewpoints, and the murmur of the Pare and Siagne gorges are real highlights!”. Charlotte Depardon, intern at the Préalpes d’Azur Regional Natural Park.

  • Between points 3 and 4: be cautious when crossing the scree slopes.

  • PASTORAL AREA: If livestock guardian dogs approach you, do not pet or threaten them. Stop and wait patiently for them to finish their "inspection" before calmly resuming your path, skirting around the flock as much as possible. It's best not to bring your dog; if you do, keep it securely on a leash. As a reminder, consult the guidelines on how to react to livestock guardian dogs.

  • FIRE RISK: Fire is the enemy of the forest… and the hiker! Do not smoke or light fires in the forest, as it is prohibited in all seasons! And in the summer, before setting out, check the access conditions and regulations for forest areas.
