Hiking - Gabriac and its 4 hamlets
Unusual, this trail around the Cévennes valleys allows you to discover a scattered commune made up of several small authentic hamlets, a characteristic feature of Cévennes housing. Former silkworm farms, schist stone houses, chestnut groves… you will see traces of a life deeply shaped by agro-pastoralism.
Do not block the entrance to the chalet (the municipality’s technical building). Parking available 100m further up.
This trail is not recommended in rainy weather (slippery sections and fords).
On this trail, you will encounter many gates: make sure to close them properly after passing through.
Keep your distance from beehives.
Adapt your equipment to the day’s weather conditions. Remember that the weather changes quickly in the mountains. Bring sufficient water, good shoes, and a hat.
