"Starting from the centre of Gémenos, you will climb Mont Cruvelier through beautiful garrigue scrubland, typical of the region. A superb view extending to the Mediterranean Sea awaits you! The descent through the forest on the Cabrelles trail will lead you into the cool Saint-Pons valley to discover its rich natural and built heritage." Mathilde Miguet, Outdoor Activities Project Manager at the Sainte-Baume Regional Natural Park.

  • SAINT-PONS PARK: this protected natural site, owned by the Département des Bouches-du-Rhône, is subject to specific regulations. It may be closed in the event of natural hazards (strong wind, rain, snow, thaw, fire). Before you go, check the access conditions (especially in summer). To preserve this fragile place, please respect the rules: no dogs, no bikes, no picking plants, no swimming, no fires. Please use the designated area at the park entrance and take all your rubbish with you when you leave. Mounted guards protect the site. For any questions, contact the Departmental Guard at 04 13 31 50 30.

  • FIRE RISK: fire is the enemy of the forest… and the hiker! Do not smoke or light fires in the forest, as it is forbidden in all seasons! And during the summer, before heading out, check the conditions and regulations for accessing forest areas.
