Hiking - GOULT - Grand Tour of Mange-Tian
A route marked by many admirable reminders of ancient human settlement.
"One surprise after another! In a relatively short time, you'll discover or rediscover the wonders of human craftsmanship. Houses, a mill, a chapel, bories, dry-stone walls—the types of structures are varied. And as if that weren't enough, the Monts-de-Vaucluse, Mont Ventoux and the Luberon mountains set the stage for all this skill. Worth seeing time and time again!" Axelle Baumard - intern at the Luberon Regional Natural Park
- After point 5: river crossing! If the stream is swollen after heavy rain, do not hesitate to turn back.
- After point 6, a steep climb with a section along a ledge (wooden footbridge).
- At point 5 and before point 10: use caution on the road (D60).
- In the Terraced Fields Conservatory (Conservatoire des terrasses de cultures), stay on the marked path. Do not climb on or get too close to the edge of the dry-stone walls and structures.
- WARNING: PASTORAL AREA from early June to late July: if livestock guardian dogs approach me, I will not pet them or act threateningly. I will stop, then wait patiently for them to "check me out" before calmly resuming my way, giving the flock as wide a berth as possible. It is best not to bring your dog; if you do, keep it on a lead at all times. As a reminder, review the correct way to behave around livestock guardian dogs.
- FIRE RISK: Fire is the enemy of the forest... and the hiker! I will not smoke or light fires in the forest, as it is forbidden at all times of the year! And in summer, before setting out on a walk, I will check the access conditions and regulations for forest areas.
