Hiking - GR® de Pays Tour des Monts d'Aubrac: From Aumont-Aubrac to La Baume

Between the Aubrac plateau and the Margeride region, this route follows accessible tracks and paths, bordering woods and farmland through a rolling landscape.

The first stage of the trek around the Monts d'Aubrac, this hike is a fantastic introduction to the landscapes of eastern Aubrac. From the Aumont-Aubrac basin, the route climbs gently towards the Aubrac plateau in a hilly setting. Walk alongside patches of woodland with spruce, Scots pine and birch trees, while admiring the many views over the Margeride region and its ocean of wooded hills.
