The Church of La Chabasse
The areas of Hauts d’Olliergues and, among others, La Chabasse, are a little gem for discovery. You can find here the Church of La Chabasse, a beautiful Roman-era building that served as the parish church until 1842. After that date, Notre Dame Church, located in the center of the village, became the parish church. This area also offers a sublime panorama of the Haute-Chaumes region. It’s an ideal spot for a quiet picnic. Continuing along the route, the Puy de Dome range comes into view, as well as Puy Mary and Puy de la Vache… Throughout your hike, you’ll pass through open areas, allowing you to observe and discover landscapes unlike any other, in more wooded zones to enjoy the tranquility and freshness of the undergrowth.
