Walking - LA CADIÈRE-D'AZUR - Le Bois du Défends
Between pine forests and viewpoints, an easy loop through the Bois du Défends, with views over the Sainte-Baume massif, La Ciotat, and a path through the old village.
"A wonderful surprise right on our doorstep! The climb into the Bois du Défends is easy, under a bright pine forest, with clear views of the slopes of the Sainte-Baume and the vineyards below. We loved the contrast between the coolness of the undergrowth and the spectacular opening onto the sea: the bay of La Ciotat, Île Verte… a truly timeless moment! The small chapel by the path adds a special charm to the walk. And the return journey through the charming narrow streets of this village south of the Sainte-Baume massif is the perfect end to the hike." Aline and Albert, a hiking couple from Toulon.
