Hiking - LA CHARCE - Col de la Loubière
Between limestone strata and blue marls, this 3-hour hike immerses you in lunar landscapes full of geological secrets.
"Hiking from La Charce has the advantage of offering two types of discovery. Those looking for a proper hike can tackle the Col de La Loubière and return via the Archettes stream, while history and geology buffs will find plenty to marvel at in the village and its surroundings, from the 17th-century Château to the Serre de l’Âne Global Geological Reference Site.” Vincent Aubert, Outdoor Sports Technician - Baronnies Provençales Regional Nature Park.

- Between points 3 and 4: the trail passes through marls and is eroded.
- RESPECT THE TRANQUILLITY of the area you are walking in, avoid shouting and do not use any sound devices (radios, etc.), out of respect for other users and for the peace of the local wildlife, especially during breeding and wintering seasons when the animals are much more vulnerable.
- Avoid picking wild plants: some of them are protected species.
- Avoid hiking in riverbeds. Trampling can disturb the local species and aquatic life (fish, dragonflies, crustaceans). It is preferable to walk on the riverbanks.
- A section of the route is very exposed to the sun; be sure to bring necessary supplies (water, hat, sunscreen, etc.) on hot summer days. An early morning start is recommended to avoid the hottest part of the day.
