Hiking - La Faye-Joubert-Brodillon - Marlhes No. 2
This route follows the traces of the Buttermilk Farm (from the early 1900s) and a former weaving mill at La Faye. Interpretive panel on site.
A hikers' room with tables and a water point is available behind the church.
Take the street on the left in front of the washhouse, then the narrow street on the right that joins the RD 501. Cross the road and take the Allée de la Croix Rouge. At the Croix junction, go down the path on the right. At the junction with the Route des Montagnes, turn left, then cross a second road. After a few meters, take the downhill path on the left to reach le Monteil.
Pass a granite cross, then take the road on the right. At the transformer pylon, go up the path on the left. Continue straight ahead, pass the Cordelière campsite, and 100 m further on, take the path on the left. At Les Fournaches, follow the road for a few meters, then take the path on the left that heads into the woods. Follow the trail markers to Joubert. Take the road on the left, then continue straight ahead (note: the trail to St-Genest-Malifaux starts from the path on the right).
After Joubert, take the left path. Go down into the woods. At a junction with several paths, continue straight ahead, then take the path on the left. Go down to Brodillon, cross the bridge, stay on the RD 10 (⚠️ Caution, busy road, be careful) and take the first road on the left. After 200 m, fork right and follow the path. Keep going straight ahead; you will pass the Croix Rouge again before reaching the village.
Everyone is responsible for their own safety. Therefore, you hike at your own risk. Stay on the marked trails to protect fragile areas.
Some recommendations:
Check the weather forecast before you leave
Some routes cross busy roads: Be careful
Keep dogs on a leash

Admire the flowers, don't pick them.
Tick bites can cause serious illnesses. To prevent them: wear clothing that covers your skin, use repellent, and check your body upon your return. Remove any ticks using a tick remover tool without applying any substance to it. Consult a doctor in case of visible redness, flu-like symptoms, or if you are in an at-risk group.
