Hiking - La montagne des Enguilhens

You are at the foot of Les Truques, one of the highest peaks in Aveyron and Aubrac, at the edge of the forest, with views sweeping down over the Enguilhens burons and the infinite horizon.
The landscape is superb and emblematic of Aubrac; it's also a dive into history, as the forest served as a maquis, including a still-visible cave. Today it is a deer sanctuary and a spot for listening to the deer rut.
