Hiking - LA PALUD-SUR-VERDON - La Palud - Rougon Point Sublime + Bus

A hike that will take you to the hills above Rougon, culminating in the view from its Point Sublime.

A journey into the heart of the Verdon Gorge foothills, alternating between cool woodland sections and the Baou, with an ascent to the village of Rougon. This peaceful village, set in a stark landscape, offers a commanding view of the Grand Canyon du Verdon and an exceptional panorama over the landscapes of the Alpes de Haute Provence.

This is a one-way hike, with the return journey by bus on the Riez-Castellane line operated by the Région Sud. Avoid the intense summer heat; set off early. You will need: 3L of water per person, a hat, and hiking shoes. Be mindful of livestock guardian dogs on the plateau; read “If I meet a Patou” below.
