Walking - La Roncharde - Condrieu No. 1
Start in front of the town hall. With the town hall on your right, head towards Rive-de-Gier for 200m, then turn left onto Montée de la Tour for 50 m.
Just before the archway (the old Pelleguy gate), climb up to the right. The walls you follow at the start are part of the old ramparts.
At the first crossroads, there is a bird's-eye view over the Arbuel gorge. All along the ascent, stepping a few metres onto the embankments will reward you with lovely views. Don't miss the Belvédère du Rosay (on the D28), with its orientation table and picnic area. The descent via the Côte Chatillon offers beautiful views over the Rhône Valley all the way down. Until around 1850, this path was the main road to Rive-de-Gier.
