Hiking - The Bromme Valley
As you ascend an ancient glacial valley, now home to a sometimes powerful stream (the Bromme), you will walk through the heart of a mid-mountain landscape.
You will return to the medieval town of Mur-de-Barrez via a ridge path, a former Cluniac way connecting Bredons to Conques.
In the peaceful, rolling countryside of Carladez, this route winds through the valley and then up to the heights, offering wonderful heritage discoveries: the Château de Venzac, the village of Brommes and its Romanesque church with exceptional crosses and modillions.
And Mur-de-Barrez, with its unique history between Cantal and Rouergue, which was even owned by the Grimaldi family for a century and a half...
