Hiking - The Jambette Valley
This loop offers exceptional views over the Huisne Valley and a chance to discover local rural heritage sites. You will need to be vigilant and careful when crossing the D 923, but the change of scenery is well worth the effort!
The commune's name, derived from the Latin "margila," refers to marl, a type of clay soil. The village overlooks the Huisne Valley and its rich alluvial pastures, which are ideal for livestock farming. Along the way, you will discover a wealth of vernacular heritage sites, including washhouses, wells, and fountains, testifying to the abundance of water that allowed for the scattered settlements so characteristic of the Perche region.
Be careful when crossing roads; some can be busy with traffic.
