Hiking - La Vieille Chapelle - Le Bois de Chacorne - Chuyer n° 3
Thanks to a few site enthusiasts, the old chapel dedicated to Saint Margaret has been restored; let's take advantage of this hike to discover it.
Head towards the hamlet of Grange-Blanche. The small road will lead you to Bracheton. Don't miss the grassy path that ascends through terraced fields and enters an oak forest. You will join the Laurent Audouard trail, which leads you to the Old Chapel (Sainte-Marguerite), whose origins date back to the 10th century.
You are on the edge of the municipality of La Chapelle Villars, from which you will soon glimpse the village, the Villars castle, and perhaps some fishermen on the pond, all dominated by Mont Monnet. Between the oaks, chestnut trees, and meadows, you will reach the hamlet of Le Pras, the northernmost point of the municipality of Chuyer. After the Bois de Chacorne and its remarkable panorama, you will cross the hamlet of La Pélarie and take the D19 road for a few meters.
To your left, you will find the bridle path which, among the marshy meadows, will allow you to spot frogs, wading birds, and horses.
Upon reaching the D30, you will rejoin trail no. 4.
