Hiking - Lac du Goléon from Les Hières

A very diverse out-and-back route, offering both views of La Meije, a discovery of local heritage, and arrival at a refuge perched on the edge of its lake.
The Lac du Goléon feeds the Maurian torrent, and it is along this stream that the hiker follows the path, rich in landscapes and heritage, to reach the refuge of the same name. A unique atmosphere is then created at the edge of this lake, a haven of peace between La Meije and the Aiguilles d'Arves.
The route is very exposed to the sun (no shaded sections). Equip yourself accordingly.
The story of the Salomon Mines, painted on slabs along the trail, punctuates the climb to the refuge.
