Walking - LAGNES - Discovery Trail
The perfect trail to discover the wild plants of the Luberon, in a magnificent setting!
"This trail, dotted with small markers, is ideal for learning to recognise the plant species that inhabit the Mediterranean hills and garrigue. Thanks to the interpretive signs on plant dynamics, farming practices, and geology, it's a pleasure to become aware of the variety of species and the magnificent heritage that surrounds us. Calm and bucolic, this route also offers lovely views, perfect for complementing the peaceful atmosphere." Axelle Baumard, Chemins des Parcs intern at the Luberon Regional Natural Park.
- Between points 3 and 4, the path runs along a cliff edge, be careful! The trail is rooty and eroded: I'll make sure to wear sturdy footwear.
- On the Lagnes discovery trail, I will not pick any wild plants or collect wood. I will not crush insects on the ground, but let them live and interact in their micro-habitats.
- I will not climb on the dry-stone walls and structures; this is how I help preserve these testaments to our past.
- FIRE RISK. Fire is the enemy of the forest… and of the hiker! I will not smoke or light a fire in the forest, especially as it is forbidden in all seasons! And during the summer, before setting out, I will check the access conditions and regulations for the forest areas.
