Hiking - Le Bataillard Saint-Romain-en-Gal n°2
A lovely hike exploring the Vezérance valley.
A landscape interpretation panel and picnic tables are available at the trailhead.
Start from the Grisard car park.
Follow the D502 downhill to the farm.
Take the path on the right, parallel to the road. This path will lead you to a paved section, then continue on another path until you reach Chemin du Perrin (paved), which will lead you back to the D502.
Turn right onto Chemin du Bataillard. At the ruined house (barely visible in the vegetation), continue straight ahead, into the hollow, and do not turn left.
Cross the stream and climb the steep path opposite.
Continue straight to reach Route du Grisard in the municipality of Saint-Cyr.
Turn right, walk along the road for approximately 1 km, pass the turn-off for La Madinière, and after the road's curve, take the uphill path on the left.
Continue on this path until you reach a wider track, which you take to the right until you return to the Grisard car park.
Magnificent view of the Alps mountain range on a clear day!
At the fork, take a left and climb back up to the Grisard car park.
⚠️ Warning, busy road, please be careful.
