Hiking - The Orceyrette Lake
An easy hike to discover with the family the Orceyrette Lake, nestled in the heart of the Biological Reserve of Bois des Ayes.
The Orceyrette Lake offers a postcard-worthy landscape reminiscent of the Canadian wilderness. A lake with emerald-green clarity, surrounded by centuries-old larches and Swiss stone pines, crowned by high ridges. A favorite spot for photographers and filming location of the TV series Alex Hugo, it is also a reserve home to remarkable birds such as the Eurasian Pygmy Owl, Tengmalm's Owl, and the Black Grouse.
Some parts of the Natura 2000 site Bois des Ayes are protected areas with specific regulations: the managed forest biological reserve of Bois des Ayes aims in particular to protect the nesting of woodpeckers, nocturnal raptors, and the Black Grouse. We count on you to help preserve it.
