Hiking - Mont-Jovet from Notre-Dame-du-Pré

Ready for a strenuous hike from the village to the alpine meadows? Gain altitude on a trail with magnificent panoramic views as you make your way to the summit of Mont-Jovet (2558 m).

The trail first passes through forest before reaching the colourful alpine meadows and then the grassy ridges. The route offers superb panoramic views of the Mont-Blanc and Écrins massifs. Along the way, take a moment to appreciate the unique, all-wood refuge du Mont-Jovet. Opened in 1890 and virtually unchanged since, it is one of the first refuges in the Tarentaise.
