Walking - Le Pissot, Over Hill and Dale

Leaving the town centre, you will discover the site of a former tannery at Le Pissot, along the Chippe river, before joining a dirt path. Along this path, be sure to look back regularly to enjoy the views over the town of Mortagne-au-Perche. You can also spot local tree species: oak, ash, beech, elder, and hawthorn (at the hamlet of Faye). Down below, you can see an old bakery with its hipped roof. Continuing on to the Manoir du Chenêt des Vaux (a private manor) and heading back towards Mortagne-au-Perche, you will have a stunning view of the old ramparts and its suburbs.

The hike starts towards the suburbs of Mortagne-au-Perche, then reveals panoramic views of the town as it passes by an old hide-drying house.

At Chenêt des Vaux, the downhill path can sometimes be wet.
