Hiking - Le refuge du Soreiller
Car traffic is prohibited on the RD530 after the village of St Christophe-en-Oisans. You must take the free shuttle to Combe Noire. More information is available from the St Christophe tourist office and at: https://www.oisans.com/acces-a-la-vallee-du-veneon/
A round-trip route to reach the Soreiller refuge at the foot of the elegant and slender Dibona Needle.
A route in two acts: an efficient ascent with the mythical Dibona in sight, followed by contemplation from the refuge terrace of the south face of the needle and its climbing routes.
Very good trail, steep in places, but without technical difficulties.
The duration of the hike indicated on the sign at the start of the trail is 2h40, but plan for 3 to 3h30 for the ascent.
Footbridge over the Amont stream: in summer, it is taken down in autumn and rebuilt in spring (check with the Écrins National Park to see if the footbridge is in place).
