Hiking - The Miners’ Trail

This loop hike starting from Villard-Saint-Pancrace allows you to follow in the footsteps of the former farmer-miners: You will discover the life of the miners thanks to the explanatory panels along the trail and the well-preserved remains of this former mining activity.

Alternating between fields, canals, and forested sections, the Miners’ Trail of Villard-Saint-Pancrace combines culture and walking: The coal mines, remnants of rails, mine carts, and winches are visible testimonies of the coal exploitation that began in the 18th century and continued until 1960.
