Walking - LES BEAUMETTES - Botanical Trail

A beautiful little bucolic walk, easy to access and with a low elevation gain, between scrubland and pine forest...

"What a surprise! Arriving in the discreet village of Les Beaumettes, usually known for its remarkable troglodyte dwellings, I didn't expect to enjoy such a lovely trail. Right there, just a few steps away on the hillside, a peaceful atmosphere emerges. The discovery, from marker to marker, of the natural heritage paces our progress. Time flows slowly, our senses are enriched. Ideal for a short family hike!" Axelle Baumard - intern Chemins des Parcs at PNR du Luberon.

  • After point 3: rocky trail, mind your ankles!

  • After point 4: caution when emerging near the D900.

  • FIRE RISK. Fire is the enemy of the forest… and the hiker! Do not smoke or light fires in the forest, as it is forbidden regardless of the season! And during summer, before heading out, check the conditions and regulations for access to forest areas.

  • On the botanical trail, do not collect any wild plants or wood. Do not crush insects; let them live and interact within their micro-habitats.
