Hiking - Les Bruyères - St-Chamond n°7

A beautiful hike starting from St-Martin en Coailleux, with a section passing above the Soulage dam.
Turn left, cross the road and take the uphill path. Then, walk alongside the woods (note the Croix des Pestiférés, likely erected amidst the graves of plague victims) and continue to the hamlet of Charmeaux. Turn left, then right onto the path climbing to the summit. Then, turn right, go through the woods, and take the path descending on your right to reach the hamlet of Pouay. Follow the road to Devey, then continue to Lardière. Go through the hamlet, follow the path, cross le Vernat, and stay on the road. At the intersection, turn right to return to Saint-Martin-en-Coailleux.
