Hiking - Les Châtaigniers - Ampuis No. 3

Head up the RD 45, then take the first dirt path on your right. The path then forks to the left, crossing through a meadow. When you reach the hamlet of Mornas, take the paved road that joins the Route Communale de Rozier.

At the junction of the two roads, turn left to join the CD 138, then turn right and continue to the crossroads with the Route du Lacat. Descend on the right towards Verenay to reach the Verenay scenic viewpoint, where you can catch your breath while taking in the magnificent views (dam, valley, Vienne).

At the crossroads, turn right and follow the level path to the end of the pavement, then take the dirt path through the woods to the stream. Cross it and head back up towards Rozier. Cross the local road. The trail will lead you to Le Champin. Near the first vineyard, turn right to return to the starting point.

If you find a tick, remove it with a tick removal tool without applying any substances. Consult a doctor if redness or flu-like symptoms appear, or if you are in an at-risk group.
