Walking - The Mayrinhac Heathlands
An immersion into the Bromme Gorges on a marked discovery trail, at the heart of a Sensitive Natural Area, notably recognized for its raptor population.
The landscape mosaic of this Sensitive Natural Area (ENS) is remarkable, with an alternation of heathlands, meadows, cultivated fields, forests, cliffs... which has fostered the development of truly unique biodiversity.
Beyond the numerous bird species present on the site (Red Kite, Booted Eagle, European Honey Buzzard, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Eurasian Eagle-Owl...), you can also observe many remarkable insects (Stag Beetle, Orange Tip, Brimstone...) and even hear certain amphibians like the Common Midwife Toad.
The village of Mayrinhac, typical of the Carladez region, is home to numerous authentically restored farmhouses, a church containing nearly 1000 relics, a communal bread oven, and a calvary.
