Hiking - Les Rochettes - Le Bessat n°1
A pleasant and easy walk through a fir forest with a beautiful view of le Mézenc.
Access to the cross-country ski trails is strictly forbidden for pedestrians and snowshoers during the snowy season.
Start from Le Tremplin.
Take the uphill road that runs alongside Cap Oxygène.
At the first junction by the housing estate, turn right towards Croix des Fosses/Bourdouze. At the next junction, turn right onto a wide forest track towards Bourdouze/Praveilles.
Further on, the trail passes the bachat de Lescure. When you reach the bachat de Bourdouze, turn immediately left, and after a few metres, continue straight on towards Loges de Lapras/les Rochettes.
You will come to an open area created by recent tree felling. From here, you can enjoy a beautiful view of le Mézenc.
At the next intersection, "Loges de Lapras", take the path on the left towards Creux du Loup. The path goes through a deciduous forest; on the left you can see an old charcoal kiln, and above it, you can access les petites Rochettes.
At Creux du Loup, take the path on the right (GR 7 and 42). When you reach Croix des Fosses, be sure to take the downhill path on your left. You will rejoin the wide forest track, which you cross to get back on the path you took on the way out, heading towards Le Tremplin.
