Hiking - Les Rouquis
Take your time to stroll through the perched village of St-André: its alleys, the church, the castle, and the magnificent spinning mill transport us back to the flourishing but challenging period of the 18th century.
The trail climbs through chestnut groves and holm oaks; steps carved into the granite testify to the regular use of the path. The hamlet of La Rouviérette, located along the drovers’ path, served as a stopover for transhumant shepherds moving their flocks to summer pastures. From there, the panorama opens up over the surrounding slopes.
Descent is somewhat steep. Before starting a route, make sure it is suitable for your activity and skill level. Keep in mind that weather can change quickly in the mountains. Bring enough water.
