Hiking - The Three Hamlets - Jonzieux no. 1
This route passes through three of the municipality's hamlets: Basmouche, La Tourette and Bergognon, where you will notice an 18th-century wrought-iron cross.
From the church, head towards the shops opposite, then turn left. Go down Rue du Bois Joli (against the one-way traffic). Cross the main road and continue straight ahead on the small tarmac road. At the end of the tarmac, this road becomes a path that descends and then climbs up to the hamlet of Basmouche. In the hamlet, turn left and go past the fountain.
At the next intersection, turn right and after about 100 metres, take the path on the left immediately after the first hedge. Further on, turn left to reach the hamlet of La Tourette.
Go down the small tarmac road to the equestrian centre and continue on the path that descends and then climbs back up to the hamlet of Bergognon. In the hamlet, between two houses, turn right. On the left, you will notice an 18th-century cross bearing the emblems of the four evangelists. Go down the road for about 70 metres, then take the path on the left. This path leads to the hamlet of Le Poyet, located in the Haute-Loire department.
In Le Poyet, follow the road on the left, which joins the main Jonzieux–Marlhes road. Take this road to the left to cross the Semène river on the Pont de Croquet bridge, then, a few dozen metres further on, turn right to reach the hamlet of Fabriques. You then have two options: either head back to Jonzieux by turning left, or continue straight on to join trail no. 3.
