Hiking - LIMANS - Tour of Pâty
A countryside route between the Laye and Largue valleys, where you can discover unusual outcrops of white sandy clay...
"As I live near Forcalquier, just a 10-minute drive from Limans, I never get tired of this varied hike. I enjoy its attractions in every season. The spot that moves me the most is the Pas de Brugière, which connects the Laye and Largue valleys: the view is magnificent. And nearby, outcrops of white sandy clay suddenly appear—a stunning geological curiosity!". Jean-Bernard Letemple, hiking guide with the Compagnie des Grands Espaces.
- WARNING: PASTORAL AREA from early June to the end of July: if you encounter livestock guardian dogs, do not pet or threaten them. Stop, wait patiently for them to "inspect" you, then calmly continue on your way, giving the flock as wide a berth as possible. It is best not to bring your dog; if you do, it must be kept on a lead. For reference, review the recommended guidelines for encounters with livestock guardian dogs.
- FIRE RISK: Fire is the enemy of the forest... and the hiker! Do not smoke or light fires in the forest; it is forbidden year-round! And in summer, before you set out, check the access conditions and regulations for forested areas.
