Walking - MANOSQUE - Pélicier by Stroller!
The forest, for all ages!
"This rather short route is delightful nonetheless. A real breath of fresh air! This forest, originally man-made, has become completely naturalized and now features numerous tree species. From one shoulder of the hill to the other, the route out follows beautiful dirt paths created by the Office National des Forêts (the French National Forest Office). Along the way, the temptation to take a break and enjoy the moment is strong. The return trip, along the track, is easier and even more manageable with a stroller. Perfect for young children!" Sophie Bourlon, Biodiversity Project Manager - Natura 2000 at the Luberon Regional Natural Park.
- With a stroller, the outward journey, which is entirely on a path, is more demanding than the return trip along the track.
- I avoid picking wild plants, thereby protecting legally protected species. I avoid stepping on insects on the ground, letting them live and interact between their micro-habitats.
- FIRE RISK. Fire is the enemy of the forest... and the hiker! I do not smoke or light fires in the forest, especially as it is forbidden whatever the season! And during the summer, before setting out, I check the access conditions and regulations for forested areas.
